After Round 1

With the Pakistan Domestic season underway, many clubs who will be looking for players, will find this page very useful, with regular snapshots and updates of top performers.

Looking back at the Faysal Bank T20 Cup, many Bouncer stable players shone:-
 
Abdur Rehman (2/27) and Shahid Yousaf (32), contributed for Sialkot Stallions in the Final which helped lift the Trophy. Mohammad Rameez was in the Rawalpindi Rams side, too.
 
Overall, Shahid Yousaf scored 138 runs @ 46, whilst Abdur Rehman chipped in with 6 wickets @ 18.83 for the Champs.
 
For the losing semi finalists, Rawalpindi and Peshawar, pacer Rameez took 11 scalps at 15.63, with a strike rate of a wicket every 10 balls.  Peshawar’s Rafatullah, Riaz Afridi and brothers, Shoaib and Zohaib Khan all helped, with Zohaib, enhancing his profile, including a Man of the Match effort in the Quarter Finals against the Shahid Afridi lead, Karachi Dolphins.
 
Taufeeq Umar’s quickfire 33, was unable to help his side overcome eventual winners, Sialkot.  Shahid Yousaf was in super form as he scored 49.
 
The standout batter of the tournament, was Test discard, Yasir Hameed.  His 3 innings grossed 218 runs at an average of 109.  Taufeeq Umar wasn’t far behind with 152 runs@ 50.66.
 
With the thrills and spills of T20 over, the focus shifts on the 4 day game.  The Quaid e Azam Trophy is split into 2 Divisions that got underway on 6th October.
 
Division One:
 
Abbotabad v WAPDA: Khalid Usman (56*), Rafatullah Mohmand (70)
Faisalabad v ZTBL: Zeeshan Butt (43), Abdur Rauf (42).  Rehan Riaz (2/30), Zohaib Khan (22, 5/51, 3/19), Yasir Hameed (167) – ZTBL win in 3 days.
Islamabad v PIA:  Shoaib Khan (101*)
Karachi Blues v State Bank: Mohammad Sami (44, 19 & 3/59)
Rawalpindi v National Bank: Mohammad Rameez (74)
Sialkot v Habib Bank: Younus Khan (52), Abdur Rehman (3/19)
 
Division Two:
 
KRL v Sui Gas: Yasir Ali (5/47, 21), Mohammad Hafeez (6/55)
Peshawar v Multan: Riaz Afridi (4/12) – Peshawar claim innings win in 3 days.
 
After the first round of games, Hafeez, Rehman, Taufeeq and Misbah move into the National Team Camp that starts on the 10th in preparation for the Sri Lanka series.
